“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” [Ephesians 3:20-21]
We are called to be Light. Not just in general, but specifically to friends and family in order to show them God’s Word. God created us all to be His disciples. We have to use our time, talents, and treasure. We all have the same amount of time in each day. The same opportunity to show Jesus to people we encounter. We all have talents given to us by God. He wants us to use those gifts for a purpose; so that He can speak to other through our talents. God wants to be number one in our lives. To do that, we have to invest our treasure where He is. Once you can let go and put God first, blessings will fall on you.
God does not have favorites, He is the author of improbable champions. All throughout the Bible, there are stories and stories of restoration and transformation. Just like in those Bible stories, God is not finished with our stories either. There is restoration for us as well. We all have trials, but for every trial there is infinitely more God. There are so many chapters left, and God is carefully and personally writing each one for us. We have to take our eyes off the problem and focus them on the God who is able.
God’s glory is so much more than we know. He can do things we can’t even think of, and there is so much we will never be able to repay. The good news is that He doesn’t ask us for repayment, He just asks us for…us. If we’re at work, we’re still developing into what God has planned for us. Our earthly plans and our definition of success are so much smaller than His heavenly plans for us. He has greater and bigger and better for us. God is constantly taking care of us in ways that further His Kingdom, not ways that further us. We have to trust that He is good all the time.
