Connection [pt. 1]

Pastor Phillip O’Reilly

All throughout life, we are connecting. To ideas, to people, to places, to communities, to beliefs, to social media, to opinions, and on and on and on.

The first connection – the most important connection – is the one we make with God. Order affects outcome, and when the order is not God first and everything else second, our outcome will not be as He designed it.

We have to intentionally put our relationship with Him first. It has to be the first thing we address each morning and the last thing we do before bed. He has to be our first avenue, our first choice, the first place we look for help.

Everything must point towards Him. When we do that; when we put God first, when we choose to hear and recieve the Word He has for our lives, when we let go, He is able to do exceedingly greater than we could dream.

God has so much in store for us. So much good and so many mercies. He longs to give us all these things, and all He asks for in return is a relationship. An important and purposeful part of our hearts. And in return, He gives us the world.

“And whatever you do,¬†whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks¬†to God the Father through him.” [Colossians 3:17]
