If we are going to live our lives on purpose for a Purpose, we must have joy. Our world is broken. The enemy is constantly speaking lies, spreading heaviness, and spotlighting hurt. And if we truly want to live differently than the world, we have to not only have joy, but know where it comes from.
Real joy – the kind that comes in the morning, the kind that endures throughout hardship – is found only in Jesus.
Jesus never promises an easy life for His people. But, he does promise beauty, peace, and joy. He turns our weeping into praise, our weakness into strength, our darkness into morning.
So, even in the night, even when surrounded by Darkness, we have to remember that the morning always comes. And until then – until our breakthrough, until the sun crests over the mountains – we will praise Him. Again and again and again.
“Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” [Psalm 30:5b]
