Pastor Appreciation Month [Pastor Susan]

Pastor Susan O’Reilly

Pastor Susan – chief fashionista, keeper of Pastor Phillip, and biggest heart around – answers 21 questions about life, love, food, and hypothetical situations.

On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you about life right now? I’m probably an 8.5. I’m pretty excited about life…life is good!

What’s the weirdest word in the English language? That is a hard question. I really have a thing for words I like words a lot. I just keep thinking oxymoron. The meaning it’s weird but it’s a strange word.

What’s your spirit animal? Why? That would be a golden retriever. They’re so loving and loyal. Oh, and darling. Those puppies.

Three people alive or dead that you’d like to have dinner with? Princess Diana, Mother Theresa, and Billy Graham. That would be a deep dinner. So kind and peaceful. I need someone funny too..what’s that guy’s name? Oh – Jim Gaffagan. He could bring some good humor there.

What would be the title of your autobiography? She Loved. First, I always

wanted something about being a mother, but now I’m a grandmother so, we’ll just combine everything into ‘She Loved’.

What’s the second best thing that’s happened to you ever? Oh definitely marrying Phillip.

What is your Enneagram number? 3 *sighs*

Lebron or Kobe? Yeah I don’t care that much about that. But Kobe for sure. Because he’s older and has been around. You should have asked me about quarterbacks. I would pick Dan Marino from the Miami Dolphins. I grew up going to those games.

What’s one skill you wish you had? Why? Oh singing. Because I love to worship so I wish I could sing.

If you could live in any era, what would it be? That’s tricky. I would pick today. I feel like this is our era. I mean I love period pieces and movies and stuff, but just thinking about the long dresses and the dust is…no.

What can make you laugh no matter what? No matter what? Children laughing. Yeah that deep belly laugh.

Best advice for your 19 year old self? You are enough.

What’s your guilty pleasure? I love coconut gelato. You have to get it in the stainless steel containers though, not the plastic. When I was in Italy, the places that have plastic containers were just no good. You have to get it in the steel. That’s the authentic kind.

What is the theme song for your life right now? Hahah ‘Staying Alive’.

What’s one thing you need to have in your fridge at any given time? Half and half. If I get back from a trip and don’t have any half and half in the fridge, I will leave right then and go right to the store. It’s so creamy and yummy. All you need is a little bit, until you get that caramel color.

What surprises you most about people? Their lack of commitment. It’s just crazy to me.

Pineapple on pizza? No. I have to have fresh pineapple. And I really love grilled pineapple. But not on bread.

If you had one superpower, what would it be? I would be able to fly. Because I like to get places quickly. Even on airplanes, I always want to just get where I’m going quickly.

If you had to switch closets with another staff member, who would it be? Switch closets? Hahaha I don’t want to do that at all.

Describe yourself in 3 words. Loving, caring, loyal. Like a golden retriever!

What are the top 3 things on your bucket list? Go to the Greenbrier hotel. It’s this old Southern hotel in West Virginia. There’s this underground bunker where the Vice President would go if anything happens. So that would be cool. Also taking my little granddaughters to Paris one day. It would just be so fun. And spending a month at the beach. I just need a whole month there. Somewhere small to stay, and the door would be always open to anyone who wants to visit.
