But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
God has so many promises for us all throughout Scripture. He promises hope and a future, He promises to be ever present and unchanging, and He promises us the Holy Spirit to guide us, lead us, and show us the way.
Because of God’s love and sacrifice for us, we get 24/7 access to Him through the Spirit. The King of the universe resides in our homes and our hearts.
But, why? Why would God promise us the Holy Spirit? Why would God want to have uninterrupted contact with us? Because He wants good things for us. Because He loves us. And because He wants us to experience all His glory.
He wants us to experience the love of the Father, the love of Jesus, the love of the Holy Spirit, and the love of Family. And to do that, He comes into our home. He makes Himself comfortable, and waits to connect with us.
Through that connection, we have great power to change the world around us. That’s the point of the Holy Spirit – to give us the tools to lead others to the love of God.
