Pastor Curt Vignery
The first code of the warrior is simple: The warrior fights only for peace.
We were not created for fear. We were created for faith.
Often times, especially these days, it’s easy to forget that. A lot of times, we materialize our greatest fears on God, but that is not our truth. We have to lift our eyes and get them back on Jesus. Only then can we see what He has for us. We are not finished yet.
There is a very real battle going on in our world. A battle for hearts and minds. The enemy plants fear and worry – those are his weapons against us. But we are so much stronger when we lean into peace. The kind of peace that only comes from the love of God. We cannot win a battle if we don’t understand the battle we are in.
The truth is that God has already won this battle. He has already fought with love and peace and has already paid the price for victory. So, we must continue.
We must fight the good fight with peace for peace. With kindness for kindness. With love for love. This is the whole reason we’re here.
God wants to show up for us with a still small voice. He wants to tell us who we are. He wants his whisper to be the loudest voice we can hear.
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
