VIDEO DIRECTOR

Position Title: Video Director  
Accountable To: Executive Director of Ministries

POSITION OVERVIEW 
The Video Director is responsible for leading and creating all video content at The Rock of KC. This role oversees the video team and manages both original and acquired content. Video needs include, but are not limited to, life-change stories, testimonies, promotions, announcements, online content, and social media videos. The Video Director collaborates closely with the Worship, Tech, and Creative teams to craft engaging work that helps the body learn, grow, and be inspired. As a Director, you are responsible for developing teams and stewarding growth over all aspects of the video team at the Rock of KC.  


As the Video Director, your primary responsibilities include:
 
Ministry & Team Development: 

Success criteria for this role include the items below as well as the embodiment of the Rock’s Culture Code. 

  • Develop and execute the overall video vision for Rock, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission, values, and style. 

  • Collaborate with pastoral leadership, communications, and creative teams to plan video content for announcements, testimonies, promotional videos, social media content, and livestream elements. 

  • Identify, capture, and produce compelling stories and testimonies that highlight life change, ministry impact, and God’s work through Rock of KC. 

  • Coordinate video shoots, including set-up/tear-down, scheduling, and shooting.  

  • Ensure consistent visual quality, style, and storytelling across all video platforms. 

  • Maintain organized archives of video assets and projects.
